- We sat down as a group and brainstormed ideas for our stimulus of "Only words."
- We came up with a variety of ideas, but decided on one that meant we would create a piece about mental health and adotion and how through using only words, it doesn't neccessarily help or show love.
- We then decided what time frame it would be set in and that is the 1950's.
- As individuals, we then went and did research into menatal health, adoption and the social, hsitorical and political context during this time and post them onto our blogs.
- This then gave us a better idea as to a structure and what we wish to include within our performance and the message we want to get across.
- We then created a three- frame story to the beginning of the performance to get a rough idea of how the piece would fit together.
- After doing this, we then built upon this to create individual scenes.
Lesson Update
As the devising progress has begun, I will update this page every lesson, with updates and improvements we make to the performance as we go along. Each bullet point talks about a new step in the process.
